It is our intention to provide you with as much information as possible about our organization in a clear and concise manor. Simply click on one of the categories below to be taken to that topic.
Since our beginning in 1995, it has been
my privilege to work with an exceptionally dedicated group of volunteers whose
drive and spirit are a constant source of inspiration. I have come to know
hundreds of wonderful people in this community and
in The New York State Office
of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation who have shared our vision and
supported our mission to keep Caumsett in its natural state, as a low-use,
nature-education park. Welcome to our web site, enjoy your stay!

Founder of The Caumsett Foundation
To support and enhance Caumsett State Historic Park as a unique and historic
environment
on
Long Island's north shore. The foundation is dedicated to education,
low-impact recreation, historic and environmental preservation and conservation
of the scenic
value, natural heritage and cultural history of the site.
Caumsett State Park which reaches from Long Island Sound across Lloyd Neck to Lloyd Harbor, occupies approximately 1,500 acres of the former Marshall Field III estate. Located in the Town Of Huntington in the Village of Lloyd Harbor, it includes open meadows, pristine beaches, hardwood forests, specimen trees, shrubs, and a fresh water pond in addition to Field's mansion, guest cottages and outbuildings.
